New York

MIYAKO YOSHINAGA was established in New York City in 1999. Since its inception the gallery has explored photography as one of the most vital, complex and progressive mediums of our generation. Our programs value the full spectrum of photograhpy’s possibilities as practiced by the emerging, mid-career, and established artists we represent. For more than a decade, MIYAKO YOSHINAGA has developed a specialty in postwar and contemporary Japanese photography. Today the gallery offers a growing collection of Japanese photo-books and organizes critically acclaimed exhibitions of Japanese master photographers several times a year. Recent exhibitions have included “Eikoh Hosoe: Curated Body 1959-1971″ and “Issei Suda: Life In Flower 1971-1977.”
